Lenskart has launched ‘B by Lenskart’ — India’s first full-stack AI smart glasses, built entirely in India. The device runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 chip, integrates a Google Gemini 2.5 Live AI assistant, includes a Sony camera module, and weighs just 40 grams — making it 20 percent lighter than the Meta Ray-Ban smart glasses. The glasses support hands-free UPI payments by pointing at a QR code and confirming the transaction via voice — compatible with Google Pay, PhonePe, and Paytm. The device also supports real-time language translation in Hindi and Tamil, live object recognition via the camera, and a health monitoring suite including food logging.
Critically, the glasses are designed to accept prescription lenses — a major advantage for India’s vast population of spectacle wearers. With Lenskart’s network of over 2,000 stores across India, getting these fitted with prescription lenses will be as simple as buying regular glasses.
Lenskart has also opened B by Lenskart as a developer platform, inviting Indian developers to build applications across categories including food delivery, healthcare, education, and fitness — creating a Made-in-India wearable ecosystem for the first time.
