Home services platform Snabbit has appointed former Amazon communications executive Madhavi Kochar as Vice President – Communications, the company announced on Monday.

Kochar will oversee Snabbit’s external and internal communications, including corporate communications, stakeholder engagement and employee communications. She will work with the company's leadership team on its communications strategy as the business expands.

Kochar has around two decades of experience in communications, including 11 years at Amazon. She most recently served as Head – IN Stores Communications at Amazon. Before that, she held the position of Head – India Corporate Communications.

At Snabbit, Kochar will be responsible for shaping the company's corporate and business narrative and managing communications with customers, service professionals, employees and other stakeholders.

The appointment comes as Snabbit expands its operations in India's home-services market. The company said it has completed more than 1 crore lifetime jobs and recorded over 1.15 lakh jobs in a single day in June.

Snabbit currently operates across more than 200 micro-markets in five cities — Mumbai Metropolitan Region, Delhi NCR, Pune, Hyderabad and Bengaluru.

Snabbit Founder and CEO Aayush Agarwal said communications would be important as the company develops its business and builds relationships with its stakeholders. He added that Kochar's experience would support the company's communications efforts.

Kochar said she was looking forward to joining Snabbit and applying her experience in building communications functions at scale.

The appointment adds a senior communications executive with experience at one of India’s largest technology and e-commerce companies to Snabbit's leadership team as the home- services platform continues to expand.
