Bharat Forge has secured a long-term contract from Pratt & Whitney Canada to manufacture and supply aerospace engine components,
expanding its business relationship with the aircraft engine maker.
Under the agreement, the components will be manufactured at Bharat Forge’s aerospace facility in India. The facility produces high-value components for aero-engine applications.
The contract comes as aerospace manufacturers continue to diversify global supply chains and expand sourcing across multiple manufacturing locations. It also strenghten to Bharat Forge’s aerospace manufacturing operations in India.
Bharat Forge Vice-Chairman and Joint Managing Director Amit Kalyani said the company would support Pratt & Whitney Canada’s programmes while contributing to aerospace manufacturing capabilities in India.
Pratt & Whitney Canada Vice President of Supply Chain Nathalie Rivet said the collaboration forms part of the company’s efforts to strengthen its global supply chain.
The latest contract follows agreements signed by Bharat Forge and Pratt & Whitney Canada in 2025 covering aerospace components and the development of a dedicated ring mill for aerospace applications. The facility was expected to become operational in 2026.
The latest agreement is separate from the companies’ September 2026 collaboration to evaluate turboprop engine integration for a DRDO high- altitude, long-endurance unmanned aerial vehicle programme.
The value and duration of the latest contract were not disclosed.
