Dyson has launched its V16 Piston Animal cordless vacuum cleaner in India at INR 79,900. The new model comes with a 900W motor, an anti-tangle cleaner head and automatic adjustment of
cleaning settings based on floor type.
The V16 Piston Animal uses Dyson’s Hyperdymium motor, which produces up to 315 air watts (AW) of suction. According to Dyson, the motor is 50 percent more powerful than the previous- generation Hyperdymium motor. The vacuum also uses Dynamic Cyclone technology, with five additional cyclones activated in Boost mode when higher suction is required.
The vacuum comes with an All Floor Cones Sense cleaner head featuring two conical brush bars. The system is designed to move hair towards the ends of the brush bars, where it can be drawn into the dust bin rather than becoming wrapped around the brushes.
The cleaner head can also detect changes between floor surfaces and automatically adjust suction power and brush-bar speed. Dyson says this allows the same main cleaner head to be used across hard floors and carpets.
For dust collection, the V16 Piston Animal gets a CleanCompaktor bin, which compresses dust and debris. The device also has a five-stage whole-machine HEPA filtration system. Dyson claims the filtration system captures 99.99 percent of particles as small as 0.1 microns. The vacuum offers up to 70 minutes of runtime in Eco mode on hard floors, according to the company. Users can also add a swappable battery for longer cleaning sessions.
The V16 Piston Animal is the first Dyson vacuum in India to support the MyDyson app, which provides additional settings, maintenance notifications and cleaning guidance. The package includes a crevice tool and Hair Screw Tool 2.0 for cleaning narrow areas and picking up hair. The Dyson V16 Piston Animal is available in India in a Black Copper finish through Dyson's website and its stores across the country.
