Sennheiser has expanded its premium audio portfolio in India with the launch of the Momentum 5 Wireless headphones and Momentum True Wireless 5 earbuds. The new products bring
upgraded noise cancellation, spatial audio, high-resolution sound and replaceable batteries to the company's latest Momentum lineup.
The Momentum 5 Wireless is priced at INR 39,990, while the Momentum True Wireless 5 is priced at INR 29,990 in India. Pre-orders opened on September 24, with the products scheduled to go on sale from October 1.
The over-ear Momentum 5 Wireless comes with a 42mm dynamic driver and supports high-resolution audio formats including aptX Lossless and Snapdragon Sound. It also features hybrid adaptive active noise cancellation with eight microphones and supports Dolby Atmos spatial audio with head tracking. Sennheiser rates the headphones for up to 57 hours of playback with ANC enabled.
One of the key features is the user-replaceable 700mAh battery. The headphones also have replaceable ear pads, giving users the option to extend the product's usable life rather than replacing the entire device when the battery eventually degrades.
The Momentum True Wireless 5 earbuds use Sennheiser's 7mm TrueResponse transducers and support Bluetooth 6.0, aptX Adaptive and aptX Lossless. They offer adaptive hybrid ANC, Dolby Atmos with head tracking and AI-assisted voice isolation for calls.
The earbuds can deliver up to 12 hours of playback per charge and up to 40 hours with the charging case. Both the earbuds and case feature user-replaceable batteries. The earbuds also carry an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.
The new Momentum series positions Sennheiser around a combination of premium audio, longer product life and advanced wireless features, as competition in India's premium headphones and earbuds market continues to grow.
