Tech Mahindra, Infinite Uptimescale Physical AI

Tech Mahindra has partnered with industrial technology company Infinite Uptime to accelerate the adoption of Physical AI across manufacturing and process industries, combining industrial intelligence with IT-OT transformation and systems integration expertise.

The partnership brings together Infinite Uptime’s PlantOS platform, an Industrial Outcome Intelligence engine designed to generate physics- and industry-specific recommendations for equipment reliability, with Tech Mahindra’s manufacturing expertise, global reach and technology integration capabilities. The companies aim to help manufacturers turn equipment and process data into actionable insights and operational decisions.

PlantOS combines mechanical and process signals with failure-mode intelligence to recommend what action should be taken, why it is required and when it should be completed. The platform also enables plant teams to evaluate whether those interventions improve operational performance.

Tech Mahindra will apply its SIIM framework — Simulate, Integrate, Implement and Maintain — to help validate and deploy Physical AI solutions across existing production, operational technology and enterprise environments. The approach is designed to integrate AI-generated recommendations into existing plant workflows and systems.

The companies plan to jointly take the offering to asset-intensive industries, including steel, cement, chemicals, metals and mining, and pulp and paper.

The partnership is expected to have a global reach, with an initial focus on North America and Europe, particularly larger transformation programmes where equipment reliability and production performance are critical.

The collaboration comes as manufacturers increasingly adopt connected equipment, sensors and analytics to identify potential failures and improve plant performance. Converting those signals into timely operational decisions can require integration across industrial systems, enterprise technology and frontline processes.

Infinite Uptime said its technology has been deployed across more than 1,000 plants, 172 customers, nine industrial verticals and 28 countries. The company also reported more than 167,837 hours of operator-validated downtime savings from its deployments.

For Tech Mahindra, the partnership expands its manufacturing transformation portfolio with specialised industrial intelligence capabilities. For Infinite Uptime, it provides access to Tech Mahindra’s systems integration expertise and relationships across global industrial markets.

The partnership reflects a broader shift toward AI applications that support decision-making in physical industrial environments. By combining PlantOS with Tech Mahindra’s IT-OT capabilities, the companies aim to connect industrial intelligence with existing plant workflows and measurable operational outcomes.
