Indian streetwear carry brand Indian Walker has raised pre-seed funding from Palette Wealth Management (PWM) at a post-money valuation of INR 20 crore, marking the company’s first
growth capital since its launch.
Founded by Md. Sakib in July 2025, Indian Walker is focused on backpacks and everyday carry products designed for young Indian consumers. The company plans to use the fresh capital to build inventory, expand its product portfolio and strengthen teams across marketing, social media and operations.
Sakib’s entrepreneurial journey began after he lost his job during the Covid-19 pandemic and started working as a Rapido captain in Delhi. His experience on the city’s roads, including daily rides, monsoons and crowded public transport, led him to identify a gap in the market for bags that combined durability, functionality and streetwear styling.
Indian Walker currently offers backpacks primarily in the INR 2,000-INR 4,000 price range. Its Level Up collection, led by the Stride backpack, has sold more than 10,000 units since its launch in July 2025.
The company currently sells through its direct-to-consumer website and plans to expand its distribution network. Indian Walker is set to enter Amazon, Flipkart and Myntra in the next quarter, followed by quick-commerce platforms and other marketplaces.
A significant portion of the funding will go towards maintaining inventory as the company expands its product range. Indian Walker also plans to introduce new SKUs under its Level Up collection and strengthen its core categories.
Over the next 24 months, the company is targeting INR 100 crore in annual recurring revenue (ARR) and aims to build a customer community of more than 1 lakh people. Kuldeep Sikawar, Founder of Palette Wealth Management, said the company had identified a gap between generic mass-market bags and premium products that remain less accessible to younger consumers. He highlighted Indian Walker’s product execution, unit economics and demand relative to available inventory as factors behind the investment.
Pavan Guntupalli, Co-founder of Rapido, also congratulated Sakib on his transition from working as a Rapido captain to building his own consumer brand. He said Sakib had used experiences from different stages of his career to shape the business.
Indian Walker is part of CoFounder Circle (CFC) Venture Studio, a consumer-focused venture studio founded by entrepreneur Darpan Sanghvi.
The company is now looking to expand its product categories, distribution network and consumer base, with a long-term ambition of building an INR 1,000-crore carry business.
