Infosys Q2 results put growth outlook under watch

Infosys is scheduled to announce its second-quarter FY27 results on October 23, with investors closely monitoring revenue growth, operating margins and any changes to its full-year outlook amid cautious client spending and pressure on traditional IT services.

The Bengaluru-based IT services company will report its performance for the quarter ended September 30. Its board is also set to consider an interim dividend. Management’s commentary on technology budgets, large- deal wins and demand for artificial intelligence (AI) services will be closely watched for signs of recovery in the sector.

Infosys’ existing FY27 revenue growth guidance stands at 1.5%–3% in constant-currency terms, while its operating margin target is 20%–22%. Investors will assess whether the company can maintain these targets as clients remain selective about discretionary technology spending and take longer to approve projects.

Ahead of the results, brokerage estimates cited by Business Standard indicated sequential constant-currency revenue growth of around 1.5%–1.7%. Analyst forecasts for profit and margins varied, reflecting differing expectations for organic demand, acquisition contributions, costs and operational efficiency. These figures are estimates and should not be treated as reported results.

Large-deal wins and the pace of project ramp-ups will be key indicators of future revenue visibility. Investors will also assess whether demand for AI,cloud computing and digital transformation services is translating into sustained growth, as clients increasingly demand measurable returns on technology investments.

Any revision to the full-year revenue guidance could influence expectations for the second half of FY27. Margin performance will also remain in focus as Infosys balances employee costs and investments in AI capabilities with efforts to improve operational efficiency.

The company has scheduled its results announcement for around 3:45 p.m. IST on October 23, followed by a management press conference at 4:30 p.m. and an earnings conference call at 6 p.m., according to the schedule provided.

The quarterly results and management’s assessment of demand will offer investors a clearer picture of Infosys’ growth prospects and the broader outlook for India’s IT services industry.
