Vivo has launched its X Fold6 foldable smartphone in global markets, expanding the device beyond China as the company increases its
presence in the international foldable phone segment.
The X Fold6 runs OriginOS 7 Fold, based on Android 17, and includes software features aimed at multitasking across its larger inner screen. These include Origin Workbench, Multi-Split Screen and AI Cross-App Drag, which allow users to work with multiple applications and move supported content between apps.
The phone has an 8.02-inch LTPO AMOLED inner display with a 2,312 × 2,504-pixel resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Its 6.51-inch outer display also uses LTPO AMOLED technology, with a 1,120 × 2,528-pixel resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Vivo says both displays can reach peak brightness of up to 5,000 nits. The device also carries IP58 and IP59 ratings for dust and water resistance.
The X Fold6 is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 Super Edition chipset and is offered with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
For photography, the smartphone features a 200MP ZEISS main camera with optical image stabilisation, along with a 50MP periscope telephoto camera offering 3x optical zoom and a 50MP ultrawide camera. It also has 20MP cameras on both the inner and outer displays.
The device is equipped with a 6,900mAh battery and supports 80W wired charging and 40W wireless charging. Vivo also uses its BlueVolt battery technology in the phone.
The X Fold6 includes several AI-based tools, including AI Meeting Assistant for meeting recordings and captions, AI File Manager for organising files and AI Reader Mode for reformatting PDF documents. Vivo’s Jovi AI agent also supports document and office-related tasks across compatible devices.
The phone supports Desktop Mode for use with an external monitor or TV, while Vivo Office Kit provides tools for working in a desktop-style environment.
